Make Scottish Smoked Salmon part of your healthy eating plan

With the New Year upon us, many of us will now be thinking about adopting a healthier diet.
Healthy eating is all about achieving the right balance of foods – and Scottish Smoked Salmon is the perfect choice as part of that careful plan.

UK health experts suggest we should try to eat two portions of fish per week, one of which should be an oily fish such as salmon.

Scottish Smoked Salmon is a great source of heart-healthy omega 3, with evidence also suggesting increased consumption of fish helps lowers risk of diabetes and Alzheimer’s, maintains brain function and brings positive changes to an individual’s well-being.

Here are five healthy eating ideas for your Scottish Smoked Salmon this New Year.

  1. Scottish Smoked Salmon Salad: For a dressing with an Asian twist, try mixing together grapefruit juice, chilli flakes, honey and light soy sauce.
  2. Scottish Smoked Salmon Baked Potato: For the filling, mix chopped Scottish Smoked Salmon pieces with low-fat mayonnaise.
