Associated Seafoods shortlisted for North East Scotland Food and Drink Award

Associated Seafoods Ltd (ASL) has been selected as a finalist at the North East Scotland Food and Drink Awards 2018 in recognition of the strong market performance of one of its Scottish Smoked Salmon products.

M&S Twice Smoked Scottish Salmon produced by the Buckie based company has been shortlisted in the ‘Most Successful Product from the 2017 Awards’ category because of its popularity with consumers.

Neil Greig, ASL Commercial Director, said: “We are delighted to have made the final at the North East Scotland Food and Drink Awards, which is recognition of the fantastic work by all the team at Associated Seafoods in producing the best quality Scottish Smoked Salmon.”

M&S Twice Smoked Scottish Salmon is produced using an innovative smoking technique where the salmon is carefully dry cured in salt and then twice smoked for perfect flavour and texture.

Last year, Twice Smoked Scottish Salmon won the coveted M&S Food Group Innovation Award in recognition of the development work behind the product and its subsequent strong sales performance.

The North East Scotland Food and Drink Awards celebrate the best of food and drink throughout Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray. The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 22 March at the Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen.
