New orders boost for Associated Seafoods on eve of Seafood Expo Global
With Seafood Expo Global getting underway in Brussels tomorrow (21 April), Scottish exhibitor Associated Seafoods Ltd (ASL) is looking to build upon recent export successes that now sees it supplying premium Scottish smoked salmon and shellfish to five continents around the world.
Supplying both the retail and foodservice sectors, ASL has in recent months secured new customers in the USA, Switzerland, the Far East and Australia, resulting in a 30% year-on-year uplift in sales of Scottish smoked salmon and crab sold under the Pride of Scotland brand.
Victor West, ASL managing director, said: “This growth has been achieved by the consistent high quality of our products combined with excellent customer service. Consumers across the world seem to have a real connection with the Scottish brand name and this is why we have now extended our Pride of Scotland branding on smoked salmon to cover crab retail products as well.”
Recently, ASL scooped for the second year running a prestigious Grampian Food Forum Innovation Award for its potted crab range for the UK retail sector.
Victor West added: “We intend to build upon these solid foundations by continuing to develop our range of premium seafood products and by identifying new markets. Seafood Expo Global provides a great platform for us to promote our brand to a global audience.”
Associated Seafoods Ltd will be exhibiting on the Scottish Pavilion on stand 9-4117/f at Seafood Expo Global.
