| Excellent turnout for Moray Seafoods’ inaugural golf tournament
An excellent turnout of 30 golfers representing all parts of the seafood industry took part in the inaugural Stableford Competition hosted by Moray Seafoods, which was staged at Duff House Royal Golf Club, Banff (17 August).
Competing individually in ten teams of three, the competition was won by Ralston Jonston (fishing vessel Amethyst) with 43 points, followed by Derek Cardno (Scottish Fishermen’s Federation) in second place and Jordan West (guest of Moray Seafoods) in third. The longest drive (18th hole) was achieved by Andy Morris (Campbell Dallas Chartered Accountants), whilst Michael Crammond (H&F Fish) won the award for getting his ball closest to the hole on the par three sixth hole.
The event was organised by Brian Sutherland, Buyer for Moray Seafoods. He said: “Although the day started in a heavy downpour the clouds soon cleared and the sun shone as the day drew to a close. Everyone enjoyed themselves and it was a great day. The day was such a success that it is now planned to be an annual event.”
